San Francisco Bay Ferry offers discounted fares to local school groups seeking to use the ferry for field trips or activities.
Who can apply
K-12 educational settings in the nine-county Bay Area, including homeschool groups and after-school organizations.
Requirements
Advance registration, approval, and adherence to the Passenger Code of Conduct. A minimum of one adult chaperone per 10 students under 18 is required. School group pricing is available on weekdays outside peak travel times, with blackout dates applying.
Process
Submit the Group Reservation Form. A Group Sales Representative will contact you for itinerary details.

School group fares are one-way, per person rates and apply if a Group Sales Representative approves your desired itinerary. These rates cover all travelers in the group, including students, staff, parents, chaperones, and teachers.
