Redwood City Ferry Project

SF Bay Ferry and the Port of Redwood City have partnered to study, design and develop a new ferry terminal serving Redwood City and surrounding Peninsula communities. The feasibility study for the project, completed in 2021, found demand for ferry service connecting Redwood City to Oakland and San Francisco. Design and environmental review are currently underway.

In 2024, SF Bay Ferry in partnership with the Port ran limited pilot service for four Sunday afternoon San Francisco Giants games, providing paid ferry service from an existing Port of Redwood City dock to Oracle Park. The intent of the pilot service was to gauge rider interest in ferry service and increase awareness of the Redwood City Ferry Project.
